    Hello parents and guardians!

My name is Delicia Hill. I am an ESOL/ENL teacher. I have been at Rochester Early College since 2021.  Rochester Early College International is the perfect place for me to teach. I enjoy teaching ESOL (English as a Second Language) or ENL(English as a New Language)  because, like many of  my students who speak other languages as their native language, I am a lifelong language learner. I love traveling,  learning new languages and working with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. That’s why I can relate to my students who are English language learners.  I know what it is like to have to study in another country, and to have to learn how to speak, read, write and understand in another language.

I am a proud graduate of the Rochester City School District . After graduating from high school, I went on to study modern languages here in New York State and abroad. I completed 2 study abroad programs, one at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, through SUNY Brockport, and the other at Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia, through SUNY Albany. I received my Bachelor’s of Art in French from SUNY Brockport. From there, I went on to complete my Masters of Science in teaching (TESOL) at Nazareth College (now Nazareth University) in Pittsford, NY.

I’ve been teaching full time in the Rochester City School District since 2014. Prior to teaching in this district, I taught in the Rush Henrietta School District.
