Parents and other community members are encouraged to visit School #50 to observe teaching and learning. At School #50, we will observe the following rules and guidelines to ensure that our primary purpose of teaching and learning may take place without disruption:
Upon arriving at school, all visitors must report to the Main Office. They must sign in and obtain a Visitor's Badge to wear while in the school building.
Parents (and other visitors) who wish to observe a class must arrange for the visit by contacting the classroom/support staff teacher IN ADVANCE.
Visits should be limited to 1 hour or less per occurrence.
Teachers are not expected to take class time to discuss individual matters with visitors. Meetings with teachers should be pre-arranged by phone or through written correspondence.
Visitors under the age of 18 are not allowed to remain in school for the entire instructional day. Special permission must be obtained in advance from the Administrative Team, which reserves the right to deny such requests.
