Helen Barrett Montgomery

In Rochester, Helen Barrett Montgomery was an advocate for civic and educational issues. She pushed for a women's college at the University of Rochester and was the first female member elected to the city school board. She was highly sought out as a speaker and a writer, and dedicated much of her life to overseas religious mission work.
