In 2015 – 2016 the School #50 art program will be offered to grades K – 7.
These classes provide many diverse materials and techniques.
Students work in 2-D and 3-D media and build skills with each sequential year.
Each class in our school is divided in half so that half the students go to art one week and the
other half go to art the next week, allowing individualized attention and smaller group activities.
Some art experiences are extensions of the core curriculum, enhancing the content and vocabulary of science, math, social studies or ELA.
Students are encouraged to try new approaches and are graded on their efforts and participation.
