    district art show  helping students

    About Me:
This is my third year teaching art in the Rochester City School District. I have lived in Rochester my entire life, and am proud to be a teacher here. I received my degree in art education from Nazareth College. I will be posting assignments, photos and information periodically, so please continue to check this website. I am looking forward to another great year!

    Our Mission:

In this art room we strive to change our perspectives. To not only find a way to interpret the world around us from our own individual viewpoints, but to discover how others see it. We seek to find beauty in our differences and unity in our commonalities. Art is not about the product, but the process. We want to be brave enough to take risks and to transform, not only in how we see others, but in how we see ourselves.

    Some Wise Advice:

Art begins when someone interprets, when someone sees the world through his own eyes. Art happens when what is seen becomes mixed with the inside of the person who is seeing it.”

    ~Chaimn Potok

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

    ~Wayne Dyer

“Art shortens the distance we have to travel to see how connected we are. ”
    ~ Laura Pritchett

     “Creativity takes courage.”

    ~ Henri Matisse
