Welcome to 8th Grade Social Studies, where you can keep up with history in the making. Please check out the links to our exciting student projects. Our expedition for Spring 2011 is entitled "Agents of Change" and focuses on the motivations, methods and impacts of citizens who act to bring change to their communities and our society as a whole. Case studies included the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the July '64 riots in Rochester and Lulu and the Girls of Americus, Georgia.

Students then completed digital stories to recount the history of other important chapters in civil rights history.
