    Here's What You Need to Know About Transfer Requests

    At our school, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and feel a true sense of belonging. Whether you're exploring new learning environments or looking for a better fit, the Rochester City School District offers transfer options to support student success through our core values of Justice, Access, and Growth— with a little help from Jaggy, of course!

    Voluntary Transfers: Open Now Through June 30, 2025

    Voluntary transfers are available each school year and are based on space availability and the order requests are received. These transfers are one way families can make thoughtful choices about their student’s learning journey.

    Here’s how it works:

    • Grades K - 6: one voluntary transfer allowed
    • Grades 7 - 8: one voluntary transfer allowed
    • Grades 9 - 10: one voluntary transfer allowed
    • Grades 11 - 12: no voluntary transfer allowed

    Families may request a voluntary transfer between April 30 and June 30, 2025, by completing a quick online form. Decisions will be shared by August 15, 2025.
