• Thurgood Marshall Middle School (TMMS) is a school that prides itself on advocating for our students, and giving
our scholars the tools they need to advocate for themselves. Our school is named after the legendary Supreme
Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall, who we model our sense of commitment, activism and service. Our mascot is
the Jaguar, which symbolizes confidence, courage and strength. Our goal is to create a school environment where
all students thrive like our namesake & are confident & courageous like our mascot, the Jaguar! While building
positive relationships with students, staff, families & the community, our main goal is to promote academic promise
where Justice, Access and Growth are the minimum standard for all students.
