OneRCSD Community Connection is a new monthly newsletter for the Rochester community. Discover the progress, celebrate our students and staff, and stay connected to the future of the RCSD.
The District and Board of Education recently honored the incredible achievements of our Hispanic high academic scholars and community award winners, including RC8's Roberto Clemente award and Latino Community Impact honorees.
Together, let's uplift diverse voices and celebrate what’s possible when we support one another!
The Rochester City School District 2026-27 calendar is now available, featuring essential dates, school and program contact information, and more. Stay informed and plan ahead for this school year.
If you are a city resident and your child will be 3 or 4 years old by December 1, enroll them for FREE PreK starting this fall.
PreK is available at 50 locations citywide, including two new centers and includes multilingual classes, potty training, community aftercare options and bus pass if needed.
The Rochester City School District is committed to recruiting, growing, and retaining a diverse and highly effective workforce that reflects the community we serve. Through Teach Rochester, we are building pathways for individuals who are passionate about education to become classroom teachers and school leaders in RCSD.

Testimonial 1
Every school, every department, and every employee contributes to the student experience. When we are connected in action, our students feel the difference in stronger relationships, stronger support, and stronger opportunities. Together, we continue the work of activating dreams and unlocking the potential within every student.
~ Dr. Eric Jay Rosser, Superintendent of Schools
