Welcome!We are excited to welcome all of our new and returning students to the Rochester International Academy library this month! We have been busy redesigning our textbook room into a brand new makerspace for our school community. A "makerspace" is a place to explore, collaborate and innovate. Last year, we introduced our patrons to 3d printing, Minecraft for Education and Little Bits electronics.
Students wrote character traits for robots they designed on their iPads and printed on our 3d printer.Now that we have more space it is time to add new materials. We are actively seeking funding for Lego EV3 robotics kits, Lego WeDo classroom pack, Lego StoryStarter classroom pack, various programmable robots and drones, solar energy kits and books about these subjects. In addition to the Lego Education resources, we would also like to build an extensive Lego collection (and Lego Wall!).
