Lindsey Brown began her career in community health as the Bilingual Site Coordinator at the Eastman Dental Clinic at School #17.  She joined the School #17 community in June 2022 after serving as the Director of Equity & Community Engagement at Allendale Columbia School and the Executive Director of the Allendale Columbia LEAP Program, a longstanding learning partnership between Allendale Columbia School and Enrico Fermi School #17.  As founding director of the partnership, Lindsey worked to align expanded learning opportunities for students with the strategic priorities of School l#17 including robust family engagement and restorative practices, a focus on project-based learning, and an emphasis on culturally responsive teaching and learning, including comprehensive bilingual literacy for Spanish-dominant multilingual learners.  Lindsey has had the privilege of collaborating with parents, faculty members, and community partners while serving on School #17’s Community Engagement Team.

 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Master’s degree in English from SUNY Brockport as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study from SUNY Oswego.
