SWW Sickle Cell Event & Blood Drive / Event Description

Where Learning Has No Limits

Please join us on Thursday, February 1st at School Without Walls, 480 Broadway, for our SWW Sickle Cell Awareness Event & Blood Drive from 3:30-7:30PM. We will have a variety of handmade artwork, crafts, and baked goods available for purchase with all proceeds raised going to the Red Cross Sickle Cell Initiative. We will also have staff and student presenters sharing research, information, and personal experiences with sickle cell disease. Our goal is to raise awareness about SCD and how it disproportionately affects the Black/African-American community at an alarming rate.

Big Boys Eatery will be serving a soul food buffet ($10 suggested donation per plate) and the Red Cross will be on-site holding a blood drive.
