Hello families and students at School 35! This is my first year at this wonderful school and I am so happy to be here. I am one of the English as a new language teachers. That means I get to support and teach students in English who are able to speak more than one language! I am super impressed with anyone who can speak more than one language.
About me:
I have lived in Rochester for almost 20 years. I grew up East of here in a small town called Auburn. I grew up on Owasco Lake. One of our Fingerlakes! I love the water and the fresh air. I have one daughter named Lila. She is in 8th grade this year. Some of my favorite things are watching her play basketball and field hockey. She is very athletic! Also living in our house is one big crazy dog! His name is Marshal. You will see him during zooms as he loves to climb on to my chair and lick my face. Family is the most important thing to me. I am very close with my parents and my two sisters. I love to learn new things too! During the quarantine I started going on lots of bike rides. My daughter and I rode more than 100 miles!
I look forward to meeting families and students in person. In the meantime I am here to support you! Please stay safe and healthy.
Best Wishes,
Erin Wilmot
