Procedures for Determining InterventionStep 1 - Assess the Students- AIMSweb
- NWEA
Step 2 - Analyze the Data- Look at the assessments to gather information and data
- Look for common misconceptions and most frequently missed major content standards/skills
Step 3 - Use the Data to Drive InstructionTier 1 Whole Group Instruction (Progress monitoring, collaboration and high quality intervention)- Interventions are developed to reteach material
See intervention options within (**please note: interventions are not limited to those within the RTI binder) - All content is spiraled back into the curriculum through differentiated small group instruction, math centers, or common cumulative assessments.
Tier 2 Students that need additional targeted interventions - Interventions are developed to reteach material
See intervention options within (**please note: interventions are not limited to those within the RTI binder) - All content is spiraled back into the curriculum through differentiated small group instruction, math centers, or common cumulative assessments.
Tier 3 Customized Interventions- Determine individualized intervention student achievement and data
Step 4 - Re-assess the Student (Progress Monitoring)- Implement all tiers of intervention and monitor implementation
Step 5 - Analyze the Data
Calculating Target Goals:1. Note the Initial Corrects (baseline score) from the universal screening “rainbow report” or baseline probe in the area you plan to progress monitor in.
2. Multiply the Accelerated ROI # by # of weeks left in the school year. This determines the amount of growth needed to close the gap.
Accelerated ROI is calculated by multiplying the Average ROI by 1.5.
Accelerated ROI x # Weeks Left = Growth Rate (“catch –up rate”)
Week of: # of Weeks Left of PM until 06/10/2016 September 14 38 September 22 37 September 28 36 October 5 35 October 12 34 October 19 33 October 26 32 November 2 31 November 9 30 November 16 29 November 23 28 November 30 27 December 7 26 December 14 25 3. Add the calculated Growth Rate # to the baseline score. This determines the Goal Corrects as the end target score for the duration of the progress monitoring.
4. File all 2014-2015 progress monitor schedules before creating schedules for the 2015- 2016 school year.
