• Hi. My name is Mrs. Ellen Hancock and I have been one of the physical educators here at #19 School for the past 20 years. I consider School #19 my second home:)  home

I started college at Hilbert Jr. College (near Buffalo) on a basketball and softball scholarship. I earned my Associates Degree and then moved onto SUNY Brockport to earn my Bachelors Degree in Physical Education/Teaching Certification.  After teaching at The Harley School for 3 years, I left to earn my Masters Degree also from SUNY Brockport. During my years at SUNY Brockport, I won numerous academic and athletic awards and am currently part of the 2013 class of the SUNY Brockport Hall of Fame for volleyball and softball. graduation picture

My first teaching position was at The Harley School teaching Nursery 3yrs -12 grade physical education. I stayed there for three years and as stated above, earned my Masters Degree. While finishing my Masters Degree, I taught at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School #9. I was there only one year when the school lost their 6th grade. I interviewed at #19 school to regain a full time position. I am so glad I decided to apply for this teaching position many, many years ago! Phys Ed Teacher

When I am not teaching at #19 school, I love to read, hike, bike ride, go camping, watch my children's after school activities and bake (when I have time). My immediate family consists of my husband and three children; 20yrs, 10yrs and 10yrs (That's right, twins!). penguin family
