Primary Project is a national evidence-based program that helps WOIS #58 students in K-2 adjust to the classroom, gain confidence, social skills and focus on learning. The Primary Project team works with teachers and parents to identify children who might benefit from the program. We aim to prevent problems for students who feel a little shy, moody or have difficulty getting along with their classmates or keeping focused in the classroom. With parental consent, students make a weekly visit to the Primary Project playroom, where a specially trained Child Associate provides encouragement and support. Through creative and expressive play and the trusting relationship with the associate, students further develop their skills, strength and self-confidence. Playroom visits are 30 minutes in length and last 12-15 weeks.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information on our program that we are blessed to have at World Of Inquiry School #58. We would love to sit with you and answer any questions.
