Fifth grade is such a crucial time in building stamina with reading.  Encouraging reading both at school and at home is one of the most important things we can do to help children succeed!

Each month I will be sending home a Scholastic Book Order.  This is a great way to inexpensively buy age appropriate and grade level specific books. 

If you would like to order books, simply fill out the order form and send it in with cash or check (made out to Scholastic Book Clubs). You can also order online and pay with a debit or credit card. Book orders generally come in within three weeks. They are shipped (free of charge!) to our classroom and I will send them home with your child. 

If there is ever a time when you would like to order books to be used as gifts, please let me know by sending a note when you place the order and we can make appropriate arrangements for special pick-up so they can remain a surprise!
