For nearly 20 years, The Consortium on Trauma, Illness, and Grief in Schools (TIG) has supported schools in Monroe County in their efforts to evolve educational practices from individual approaches to system transformation.  As a partner district, RCSD staff can participate in ongoing training to continue to enhance our district’s ability to effectively respond to the holistic needs of students and their families arising from the experiences of trauma, illness, grief, and crisis.  Beyond training, TIG maintains an integrated Crisis Response Network among all participating districts through mutual agreement.  Through this network, RCSD has access to meaningful resources to promote coping, resilience, and recovery. In times of biggest crisis, additional support and evidence-based interventions from TIG Trained Staff across all the partner districts can be accessed by request.
