Project Implementation Specialist: Elizabeth Dunne (click for more info)
ELIZABETH DUNNE began her career with the Rochester City School District 16 years ago. Originally serving as a middle school special education teacher at Charlotte High School, she had the opportunity to teach in a variety of RCSD schools before finding her home at the Franklin Campus.
Ms. Dunne taught high school at Integrated Arts & Technology High School at the Franklin Campus for 7 years teaching science and working closely with the junior and senior classes to ensure that students graduated on time. After serving as a data coach and working extensively as a teacher leader in her school, Ms. Dunne felt called to earn her adminsitrative degree when the RCSD offered it's first RocUrban Fellowship Program (in conjunction with Banks Street College and the NYC Leadership Academy).
After completing her second Masters degree through the RocUrban Fellowship, Ms. Dunne made the bold choice to return to teaching middle school and helped to open Franklin Lower School in the 2020-21 school year. She now continues her service to the Franklin Lower Community serving as the Project Implementation Specialist for the school.
Ms. Dunne is passionate about all things education with a particular focus on building strong schools for the middle grades. As and educator, she believes in the power of joy in learning, having fun, embracing challenge, and using design thinking to build quality instruction and systems that serve all.
