Program Description and Highlights
Hold onto your lab coats because Roc Achieve is thrilled to announce our AVID Math and Science STEM Summer Bridge Programs! These programs are designed to strengthen students’ math and science skills while increasing the number of students who enroll and succeed in Algebra 1.
Our middle school programs provide engaging, real-world science and math learning opportunities, so students can explore STEM fields in exciting and meaningful ways. With a focus on WICOR strategies, such as focused note-taking, interactive notebooks, writing and vocabulary activities, and team building, Roc Achieve will engage students in STEM opportunities while teaching rigorous content.
That is not all though! Roc Achieve programs are designed to support English Language Learners, ensuring every student feels included and empowered. Collaboration success is critical to our engaging, interactive lessons and collaborative activities while fostering teamwork and creativity.
Students who attend Roc Achieve programs will also receive daily enrichment opportunities, including The Amazing Shake and Write Brain creative writing programs to help them expand their horizons and explore new interests. We are passionate about helping our students succeed, and we cannot wait to see them thrive in our AVID Math and Science STEM Summer Bridge Programs!

Get ready to be thrilled this summer because St. John Fisher University will inspire our students like never before! The Freshman University Academy promises to be an exhilarating experience, where students can earn high school credits and reignite their passion for returning to the campus in four years. From exciting Regents courses to fascinating electives like Urban Poetry, Latino Studies, Creative Writing, and Modern Global events, we have got it all covered. The university’s highly esteemed faculty will lead special workshops daily, providing students with a unique and valuable learning experience.Our ultimate goal this summer is to motivate students and get them excited about learning throughout their high school journey. With a continued focus on tracking the progress of our unique summer school cohort, we hope to see them apply and choose St. John Fisher University as their college destination in the fall of 2027. Roc City Players is a theatre program open to all Rochester City School District students in grades 4-12. Auditions are done for casting purposes only. Any student who wishes to participate will be a part of the production.

Program Description and Highlights
The RCSD summer sports camp immerses current and future student-athletes in specific skill development in their chosen sport. It can be a fun time for beginners to learn basic skills and strategies, and develop friendships and teamwork, all while building a foundation for future sports success. All skill levels are welcome at our sports camp!
