Self Contained Autism Classes
Henry Hudson School No. 28 has several classrooms devoted to support the needs of students with autism. Each classroom has a lead teacher and a teacher assistant, along with several paraprofessionals. This small student to adult ratio allows for more individual attention for the students. The students stay in their classroom for most of the day, participating in regular specials such as art, music, and physical education. Both physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) are offered to these students to help meet their developmental needs.
