Primary Project- Helping Children Reach their full potential
Primary Project works with students at the Children's School in the primary grades on social-emotional skills. A highly trained adult, called a child associate, meets with each child in the program, individually for 30 minutes once a week over 12-15 weeks. A trusting relationship builds while helping the child gain skills in decision making, tolerating frustration, taking appropriate risks, making discovers, and solving problems creatively. These skills are practiced and learned through the natural way young children learn, express, and communicate- through play.Primary Project comes to us from the Children's Institute. Please visit their website for more information:Here is a video about the program.
