    Read-a-Thon

    When: February 3rd - February 14th 2025

    We’re excited to announce that Francis Parker is holding a Read-a-Thon this February! Our Read-a-Thon is designed to encourage all #23 students to develop excellent reading habits. Reading fosters brain development, improved concentration, improved communication skills, develops empathy, promotes creativity, promotes self-confidence, and is fun. Also, children who read often will widely get better at it! While your children are reading, they will also be raising funds for class field trips, supplies, and much more to support their learning at school #23. And…winning rewards for their successes! Consider supporting your favorite #23 kids during their Read-a-Thon.

    Scholastic Book Fair

    When: March 31st - April 4th 2025

    We’re excited to announce that Francis Parker is holding a Scholastic Book Fair this March! This is an excellent opportunity for students and families to continue building their home libraries while helping our school raise "Scholastic Dollars." These "Scholastic Dollars" are used to purchase incredible books for our school's Book Vending Machine!  Students earn tokens through a variety of academic and social-emotional accomplishments and use them to "purchase" a book that can be added to their home library. Please consider supporting this wonderful event!
