• OACES offers youth the following opportunities to finish their education and prepare for work:

    Academics
    OACES offers youth the opportunity to attend High School Equivalency Diploma Program classes and receive counseling support on-site at OACES and at multiple off-site locations such as Threshold and GreenWorks. OACES provides a small, family like atmosphere that allows for development of personal, employment and academic goals.

    Family C.A.R.E.E.R.S.
    Family C.A.R.E.E.R.S. (Community and Adults in Rochester Employment and Education Resource System) is a combined Family Literacy & Workforce Development program running in select Rochester City School District elementary schools.  Parents attend school with their children and participate in literacy activities, adult education, and are partnered with a school employee mentor in a one-on-one relationship to gain valuable work skills. Family C.A.R.E.E.R.S. is an inclusive program that offers both Family Literacy and a valid TANF work experience to any parent that is interested. Parents gain literacy and job skills which allow them to move towards economic self-sufficiency.

    Career & Technical Education (CTE)
    A variety of CTE programs are offered that focus on in-demand careers from Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to Building Maintenance training and more. Students can gain industry recognized credentials that can result in employment and career advancement.

    Agency Partner Locations (Off-Site)
    OACES offers youth the opportunity to attend High School Equivalency Diploma Program classes and receive counseling support at off-site and convenient locations. Off-site locations also address personal, employment, and academic goals.
