    • School No. 44 grows leaders at every level using principles from the 7Habits of Highly Effective People for staff and The Leader in Me for scholars. We prinviledge scholars voice and empower them to take ownership for their learning.                                                                                                                                                                                                     
    • We are a restorative school that focuses on building and maintaining relationships as our foundation for success.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
    • We offer a well-balanced rigorous currciulum based on Next Generation Standards and culturally responsive teaching.                                                                                                                                                                                                     
    • There is a strong emphasis on early childhood, with a three year old classroom and two four-year-old Pre-k classes that focuses on enhancing social skills and early education to prepare scholars for kindergarten.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
    • Scholars and staff begin each day with morning meeting in the classroom. We have a school-wide community meetig monthly where we build positve connections school-wide, highlight scholars talents, discuss progress towards school goals, and celebrate the school's success.                                                                                                                                    
    • Positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) is our proactive approach to fostering social expectations, emotional supports, consistent leadership language among scholars, and regular celebrations of teaching and learning.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
    • Our Partners in Education (PIE) team fosters true family partnerships where families are empowered to engage in school-wide decision-making in order to improve outcomes for all children at Lincoln Park. The committee is co-facilitated by families in collaboration with the Principal and Family Liaison.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
    • High performing committees such as an active Instrctional Leadership Team (ILT) and a high functioning School-Based Planning Team (SBPT) works diligently to monitor and take action toward school improvement goals.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
    • We provide enrichment opportunites through academics, music and arts. Scholars participate in the chorus ad instrumental program as early as kindergarten.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
    • Our WALK to READ program allows for tiered interventions that target every scholars individual learning needs. Scholars are grouped according to reading level and recieve research based interventions to support growth and development in reading.                                                                         
    • Reading Intervention Specialist push-in to English Language Arts classes daily to provide targeted interventions during core instruction. This approach allows the classroom teacher to focus on grade level core instruction as the intervention teacher work with scholars at their instructional level to provide scaffolds and support with a focus on closing achievment gaps.
