Principal of School No. 57 Receives Healthy Schools Champion Award

The Rochester City School District is proud to congratulate Ms. Eva Thomas, Principal of Early Childhood School of Rochester No. 57, for receiving a Healthy Schools Champion Award from Common Ground Health. 

 

Ms. Thomas was recognized for being a model school leader and for building system level change that promotes whole child health.  She ensures that children have the best possible start in life.  Hannah Shippee, a Program Assistant at Common Ground Health said, “Not only has Ms. Thomas made an impact on the schools she directly leads, but she sets an example and shares her successes with other school leaders.”

 

Ms. Thomas was also recognized for coming up with a solution when a barrier presents itself, and she always keeps in mind what is right for kids and families.  She is not only a colleague and partner to Common Ground Health; she is a true friend.

 

Ms. Thomas has been part of the Healthi Kids coalition for seven years, and she also serves on the School Action Team.  Please join the Rochester City School District in congratulating Ms. Eva Thomas.
