Celebration of Community Field Trip Study
Wednesday, October 21, 2015 – 10:00 a.m.
World of Inquiry School No. 58
200 University Avenue
This school year, second-grade students at World of Inquiry School No. 58 have been learning about the Rochester community through seven field trips across the city. Students and teachers visited the Mayor’s office, City Hall, libraries, banks, police departments, and other agencies in the City of Rochester to learn about how these organizations and the people that work in them impact the community. The field studies are part of their grade-level expedition related to understanding their community and becoming well-rounded citizens.
Today at the 10:00 a.m. school-wide morning meeting, students will perform a song they wrote, which addresses each site they visited, and discuss the impact these trips had on their lives.
