DETAILS
On Saturday, First Book account holders will have the opportunity to select free books for the children they serve – to stock classroom libraries, give books to students, or any other way they can use books to help students. All week volunteers have been preparing for this event, from unpacking the pallets to sorting books into grade-level stacks.

From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, books will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Each account holder will be able to select 35 books, comprised of titles appropriate for readers ages birth to 18 years old.

The 40,000 free books are being brought to Rochester as the result of a partnership among the Rochester Teachers Association, the Rochester Association of Paraprofessionals, the Rochester City School District, the American Federation of Teachers, and First Book.
