DETAILS:
Saturday marked the first time since 1980 that a Rochester city team won a
sectional title in boys’ soccer. Top-seeded
World of Inquiry/School No. 58 triumphed over number two Red Creek in the
Section V Class C1 soccer game.
The victory won the Griffins a spot in the state qualifier game on Tuesday where they will face Class C2 team Keshequa at Caledonia-Mumford High School at 5:00 pm. A win on Tuesday would advance World of Inquiry into the Western Regionals on Friday, November 7, at Hamburg High School in Buffalo.
