Encouraging Compass Use at Home

With report cards and a school recess coming up this is a great time to reach out to your students’ families to encourage use of Compass outside of school. Students can get to Compass using computers at their local library.

Copy a class set of the Compass Parent Letter [see links below], label each one with a student’s name and fill in that student’s username and password information. Help make sure an adult gets the information by tucking it in your students’ report card envelope.

Get your students involved too; be sure they know that they can use Compass at the library or on a home computer. Tell them that you need their help making sure they talk to their family and use the sheet you are sending home.
