Edna Robinson is an experienced social worker who has worked in schools and in the community for over 32 years. She was a Director of Programs at the Society for the Protection and Care of Children for 11 years, as well as the Director of the Wellness Center at the Charter School of Science and Technology. For the past 16 years, she has been working as a social worker in the Rochester City School District. Currently, she is assigned to Central Office as the Trauma, Illness and Grief (TIG) Coordinator/Student Support Social Worker and Mentor. She also spent the last 3 years as an adjunct professor in the Greater Rochester Collaborative (GRC) and at SUNY Brockport.
Mrs. Robinson received the national Teacher of the Year award in 2010 for her work as the coordinator of a 6th grade girls and boys program at School 22, which she helped create and lead for 10 years. She was also awarded Social Worker of the Year in RCSD. She is a wife and the mother of five girls. She enjoys traveling, singing, and spending time with family and friends.
