RCSD Dynamic Leaders: Coretta Wright, Principal, School Without Walls
(December 28, 2022) The Rochester City School District is fortunate to have dynamic leadership in all of its school buildings, and we are shining a bright spot on team members supporting students during the 2022 – 2023 school year.
Coretta Wright is the Principal of School Without Walls, one of the oldest nontraditional high schools in the nation. She oversees students in grades 9 – 12 in a school where seniors complete a yearlong project, hold public exhibitions, and defend their work to a review panel of community experts, teachers, and students.
“I have always been invested in working with children, and I enjoy pouring into their future,” said Wright. “Having the opportunity to help them develop and provide spaces for them to learn and grow is important to me.”
Ms. Wright is a 25-year employee of the District. She has been a Teacher, a House Administrator, an Academy Director, and a Principal.
Please join us in applauding Ms. Wright for her fantastic work to help RCSD scholars succeed.
