RCSD Dynamic Leaders: Stephanie Thompson - Principal, Roberto Clemente School No. 8
(September 23, 2022) The Rochester City School District is fortunate to have dynamic leadership in all of its school buildings, and we are shining a bright spot on team members supporting students during the 2022 – 23 school year.
Ms. Stephanie Thompson is the Principal of Roberto Clemente School No. 8. She oversees students in grades PreK – 8 in a community school model that provides a unique support system for students and families to ensure that everyone has the necessary resources to succeed. School No. 8 is also home to a music program that includes theatre, chorus, and band.
“The culture and tradition of the School No. 8 community is the primary reason I wanted to serve as Principal,” said Thompson. “School 8 consists of dedicated and committed staff, many of whom have been at the school for years. This school also has a number of family members who have attended for generations.”
Ms. Thompson has worked in the District since 1996. She has served in the roles of Special Education teacher, Coordinating Administrator of Special Education, Director of Special Education, Assistant Principal, and Principal.
Please join us in applauding Ms. Thompson for her fantastic work to help RCSD scholars succeed!
