(October 31, 2025) The Rochester City School District, in partnership with Vargas Associates, has been recognized with a 2025 Top Projects Award from the Rochester Business Journal. The program honors the best building and construction projects in the Rochester area over the past year.
Chief Operating Officer Jacob Scott nominated the District earlier this year to highlight the extraordinary, District-wide reconfiguration that was executed last summer as part of Invest in Tomorrow, the District’s comprehensive school reconfiguration plan designed to modernize facilities and enhance learning environments for students across the city.
“Implementing a District-wide reconfiguration of this scale required careful planning and teamwork across every department,” said Chief Operating Officer Jacob Scott. “Seeing it come together successfully last summer is a proud moment for our staff and a real benefit for students and families.”
The District was celebrated during an awards ceremony on Tuesday, October 28, at the Riverside Convention Center. Honorees will be featured in a special magazine insert in the October 31 issue of the Rochester Business Journal and online at RBJ.net. The District congratulates Chief Scott, his team, and Vargas Associates on this well-deserved recognition.
