RCSD Students Recognized as 2026 All-Greater Rochester Spring Athletes

Luis Falu, a student at Monroe High School named 1st team All-Greater Rochester

The Rochester City School District congratulates the student-athletes who were honored with 2026 All-Greater Rochester Spring Team and Honorable Mention recognitions, as selected by the Democrat and Chronicle.  First and second team recognitions and honorable mentions are highlighted below.

Boys Track and Field – 1st Team
Luis Falu, James Monroe High School
During a state competition at Webster Schroeder in June, Luis placed in the top three across the state in all three of his individual events.  He captured 2nd overall in the Class B 200-meter dash, alongside two 3rd place finishes in both the 100 – meter dash and the long jump. He was also a part of Monroe’s four-by-100 meter relay team that capped off their season by placing 12th overall in the state.  Luis also ran the number one time in the 200 this year in Section V.

Girls Track and Field – 1st team
Kamara Lane, Padilla High School
Kamara was crowned the Class A State Champion in the 200-dash and went on to win the New York State Federation Championship in the same event at Webster Schroeder in June. Just a sophomore, Kamara finished the Class A race with a time of 24.04 seconds. She then bested her own time in the Federation Championship race, crossing the finish line at 24.03 to claim the overall crown. She also ran the 100-meter dash at the Gates Chili Spartan Invitational in 11.50 seconds, which is faster than the listed Section V record of 11.66 seconds.
