RCSD Opens New Parent Center to Support City Families

Ribbon cutting ceremony for new RCSD Parent Center

(September 25, 2026) The Rochester City School District officially cut the ribbon on its new Parent Center, located at 200 Genesee Street. Designed as a central hub for families across Rochester, the space gives parents and caregivers direct access to District support, essential resources, and community partners in one location.

Navigating school resources shouldn't be something families have to figure out on their own. The Parent Center was built to give families a clear, welcoming place to turn to whenever they have questions, need assistance, or want to talk through their child's needs.

Key resources available at the center include a clothing closet, digital resource lab, food pantry, and a dedicated space for community partners

Strong relationships with families are critical to student success. The Parent Center sets the tone for meaningful engagement across the District by making sure parents have a real partner every step of the way.

Families are invited to stop by during regular hours (Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm) to tour the space and connect with staff.
