RCSD Executive Director of Arts Becky Fox Takes the Field at Buffalo Bills Season Opener

(September 22, 2026) Rochester City School District Executive Director of Arts, Becky Fox, recently took her passion for music to a major stage, performing on mellophone alongside the Buffalo Bills Stampede Drumline and the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps during the pre-game parade for the Buffalo Bills’ 2026 season opener.

Fox’s performance serves as a powerful example of what it means to be both a dedicated arts educator and an active practicing artist. By continuing to perform outside of her leadership role, she demonstrates to RCSD students and teachers that being a musician can remain an important, rewarding, and meaningful part of life at every stage.

By taking part in a high-energy community event, Fox modeled the very principles the RCSD Arts Department works to foster across the District every day: creativity, collaboration, dedication, and a lifelong love of the arts.

The Rochester City School District is proud to celebrate an Arts Department leader who doesn’t just advocate for the arts; she actively lives them!
