Jenny Blase-Schmidt Appointed Acting Principal of Henry Hudson School No. 28

Superintendent Dr. Eric Jay Rosser is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Blase-Schmidt as Acting Principal of Henry Hudson School No. 28, effective March 30, 2026.

Ms. Blase-Schmidt brings over two decades of experience in education, including her current role as Assistant Principal at School No. 28 and prior service as a Professional Learning Specialist for the Rochester City School District. She is a transformational, equity-driven leader with deep expertise in literacy, instructional coaching, and professional learning design.

Throughout her career, Ms. Blase-Schmidt has demonstrated a strong commitment to building leadership capacity, fostering collaborative school cultures, and using data-driven practices to improve student outcomes. Her work has focused on strengthening instructional systems, advancing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all students.

Ms. Blase-Schmidt holds New York State certifications in School Building Leadership, Elementary Education (PreK–6), and Reading (K–12), along with a Certificate of Advanced Study in School District and Building Leadership from SUNY Brockport and a Master of Science in Reading Education from Nazareth University.
