Buffalo Bills Honor State Champion Monroe High School Football Team

The Buffalo Bills rolled out the red carpet for the state champions from Monroe High School on Saturday, August 1, hosting the varsity football team as special guests at training camp at St. John Fisher University.
The student-athletes watched practice from the sidelines, ate in a hospitality tent, and received autographs from several Bills stars, including quarterback Josh Allen, offensive lineman Dion Dawkins, tight end Dawson Knox, safety Damar Hamlin, and head coach Joe Brady.
During the visit, the Bills presented Monroe head coach Terrell Cunningham with a custom jersey emblazoned with "State Champions" and the number 25, marking the year of their historic title.
"These are guys they see on TV and look up to," said Coach Cunningham. "To see them up close and personal and have them sign autographs for the kids, it's really special.”
The VIP treatment was well-earned. The Monroe Red Jackets completed an undefeated 12–0 season in December with a dominant 34–0 victory over Sleepy Hollow at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse. The historic win made Monroe the first team in the Rochester City School District to capture a state football championship.
