OUR VISION
Continue to develop and promote Student Academic Success, showing parents the necessary tools to support and advocate for their children and supporting effective bilingual programs.

OUR MISSION
Expand and enrich the achievements of all students, serving as a liaison for the District, demonstrating educational and cultural resources for students, families, and staff, in obtaining what they need to obtain the Curriculum, Teaching, Educators and Learning Environment to be culturally sensitive and understanding.

HOW DOES THE BILINGUAL EDUCATION COUNCIL WORK?
This body advises the Superintendent on matters related to Bilingual Education, including the Curriculum, instructional materials, and cultural matters.

The Council is made up of parents, community organizations, students, teachers, and Administrators of the School District, who have suffered concern for the development of Bilingual Education.

The Bilingual Schools in the District are: Schools 9, 12, 17, 22, 28, 33, 35, James Monroe High School, Edison Career and Technology High School, Joseph C. Wilson Commencement, Dr. Freddie Thomas Middle School and Thurgood Marshall Middle School
