Parent Groups
Parent Groups and Organizations
The Rochester City School District has many district-sanctioned parent groups for parents and caregivers to participate in to assist them with advocacy for their child's education. Most parent groups meet monthly and regularly inform parents of meetings through outreach via robocall, email, and/or text.
Most RCSD schools have school-based parent groups, such as a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), or School-based Planning Team (SBPT). District parents and guardians can join a group to support their child's school with fundraising, event planning, collective decision-making, and furthering the success of all students.
For more information about each District-wide group, please visit the links below or contact the Office of Parent Engagement at parentcenter@rcsdk12.org. To learn more about participating in a school-based group or planning team, please contact your child's school.
