The Interim Health Academy (IHA)

The Interim Health Academy (IHA) is designed to support students in grades 7 – 12 who have diagnosed mental health needs such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The IHA uniquely offers the supports of a small, single floor educational program. As a team, the IHA works with students, families, and outside agencies to develop and implement strategies within our setting to promote educational success.

A goal of the IHA is to return students to their regular school with the skills and confidence to succeed in a comprehensive school setting. Our focus is to help students re-adjust to their regular school environment by providing a supportive, structured setting that combines academic and affective learning principles with psychological counseling. The IHA provides students with core classes, health, and physical education in addition to a few elective courses.
