• Positive Behavior Support at School #50

    Our School #50 PBIS Framework:

    School #50 STAR ExpectationsSelf-Control, Team Work, Accountability, Respect

    These are the expectations for all members of the School #50 family.  The behaviors expected in the cafeteria, arrival, bathroom, hallway, and playground are detailed in the STAR matrix for all students.  Each classroom will create rules/expectations that are also in line with STAR.  Our School Pledge is said daily and already includes the STAR components.  Posters will be around school and provided for classroom teachers.  The behavior matrix will be available for teachers to display in the classroom and also will be posted in the areas mentioned above.

    Plan for Active Monitoring – we have decided to commit to improvement in two areas of active monitoring (anytime you are monitoring students):

    1.       Continuously move throughout area

    2.       Use at least 4 positive interactions for each negative student interaction

    Acknowledgements for students and staff - We will acknowledge appropriate behaviors in a variety of ways.
