• The library serves our kindergarten through 8th grade students, their families, and more than 100 staff members. We have one full time school library media specialist. Our collection boasts thousands of English and Spanish books, CDs, DVDs, art prints, magazines, and primary sources available in English and Spanish. The library also has a laptop cart, SmartBoard, and Elmo. Many of the online databases such as World Book Online, CultureGrams, PebbleGo and Grolier's Encyclopedia are located on the library web page and can be accessed at home. Parents can request passwords for these resources from the librarian.
Information Literacy classes teach the ability to identify what information is needed, understand how the information is organized, identify the best sources of information for a given need, locate those sources, evaluate the sources critically, and share that information. It is the knowledge of commonly used research techniques. These classes are offered to all students.
