  • The State Monitor appointed to the Rochester City School District is seeking input from the public on specific academic and fiscal reports pertaining to the RCSD. A public hearing will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 6 p.m.

    In 2020, a new law came into effect that directed the Commissioner of Education to appoint a Monitor to provide oversight, guidance, and technical assistance related to the academic and fiscal policies, practices, programs, and decisions of the Rochester City School District, the Board of Education, and the Superintendent. 

    Hearings were conducted in 2020 and 2021 that focused on governance and intervention, academic performance status, fiscal performance status, as well as other specific academic and fiscal issues.

  • If you would like to sign up to speak or offer written feedback for this public hearing, you must do so by 12:00 p.m. noon the day of the hearing. Any interested persons may sign up to speak or submit written feedback in one of two ways:

    The purpose of this public hearing is to assist Dr. Jallow as she continues work on academic improvement and fiscal plans for the District and to support the District’s development of its budgets.
