As School Social Worker here a REC, I offer specialized assistance for scholars and families in need of accessing supports and services. I offer counseling services and support families with immediate needs. My work is grounded in offering client-centered care. A goal is to empower people in finding solutions to challenges in ways that best fit their wants, beliefs and customs. I embrace this work and I am available to assist you if and when need arise. "I may not know the answer, but we can find it together."
I attained a MSW (Master of Social Work) from University at Buffalo (UB). I found my way there from SUNY College at Brockport. I attended Brockport for both Liberal Arts and BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) Programs. Monroe Community College (MCC) local to Rochester has always been an avenue for attaining vital prerequisite courses for programs I've attended. These and other colleges and universities have helped shape who I am as a person, scholar, and professional. I have become a life-long learner. When I heard of an opportunity to work at a high school connected with MCC, I quickly jumped at the chance. I love the action of learning and remain thrilled to continue this year as part of the support process here at REC. There is specific information coming your way of the kinds of supports I mentioned above. This document will explain SEL support being implemented here at REC, will include specific links to a variety of RCSD supported documents, and will contain listings, links and access numbers to emergency numbers and a variety of important local community resources.
Thank you for visiting my page!
