Families, Staff, and RCSD Community,
On behalf of the Board of Education, I want to address the recent developments regarding our leadership and reaffirm our commitment to collaboration during this transitional period.
While we are saddened to see Dr. Peluso leave, we understand and respect his decision. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and express our gratitude for his dedicated service to our District.
As we navigate this transition, I assure you that the Board is fully committed to maintaining stability within the RCSD. We recognize the importance of continuity and are actively working to ensure a smooth transition process. To ensure minimal impact to students and families, Dr. Peluso will continue his work as our Superintendent until June 30, 2024. At that time, an interim superintendent will be appointed while the Board works with a search firm to identify a viable replacement.
I want to emphasize our shared focus on implementing the school reconfiguration plan and navigating the upcoming budget season. These are critical tasks that require our collective attention and effort. By working together, we can ensure that the best interests of our students, families, staff, and community are upheld. The actions we take today are our investments in tomorrow.
I want to express my sincere appreciation for our students and families of the Rochester City School District. Your insights are integral to the decision-making process, and we are committed to maintaining open lines of communication as we address the challenges and opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to uphold our shared mission of providing a high-quality education for all.
On behalf of the entire Board, thank you for your continued partnership and support.Sincerely,
Cynthia Elliott
President of the Board
