• Attendance

It is very important that your child develop a habit of good attendance.  Students between the ages of 6 – 17 are required by New York State law to attend school every day school is in session.  All parents are responsible for providing a written excuse for any tardiness or absence within five days of the occurrence.
Students are considered Tardy if they are not in class by 9:25 a.m. each morning.  Every instance of tardiness requires a written excuse from the parent stating the reason.  We encourage students to be on time for school.

When your child is absent from school it is required that you send in a written notice of why they were not in school upon their return.  Otherwise, they will be marked illegally absent.
