What Every Family Should Know

  • We are a FAMILY who works collectively to empower our students to be leaders and advocates for positive change by: cultivating supportive relationships, honoring our unique identities and strengths, and promoting a sense of accomplishment, curiosity, and joy in learning. FLS offers small learning communities through our HBCU House system, where each grade level represents one of the Nation’s Historical Black College or University. This theme carries on as the pride of our school. Our students come HBCU ready and are recognized daily for being Honest- Honorable- Brave- Benevolent- Caring- Courteous- Unique- Uplifting. Many students can enter in to High School with Regents credits through our distinguished Honors program.
