Board of Education Announces Four Superintendent Finalists
The Rochester Board of Education has named four finalists for consideration as the District’s next Superintendent of Schools. The four finalists are Mr. Terry Dade, Dr. Devon Horton, Dr. Sito Narcisse, and Dr. George Eric Thomas.
The Board of Education hosted public forums on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at Dr. Freddie Thomas Learning Center. Over two days, parents, students, District employees, and community members had the opportunity to hear all four candidates respond to a set of questions submitted by the public. After the forums, the Board of Education held interviews with each finalist.

About the Search Process
BWP and Associates is the Illinois-based educational leadership search firm hired by the Board of Education to coordinate the search. From a pool of applicants around the country, BWP selected 30 with professional experiences and personal characteristics that most closely matched a leadership profile approved by the Board. The Board conducted follow-up interviews and selected the four finalists – Dade, Horton, Narcisse, and Thomas.
Each finalist has undergone an in-depth background review by independent third-party investigators. Those reviews included academic credentials, personal credit reports, criminal and civil histories, and a news media and social media review.
